Why do women feel the need to favour boys?

i think boys and girl have different attributes, I think boys are seen as more loving to women as girls are to fathers. I think talking about jobs i think that is society as although it is changing it is going to be a long way away from equal. mums and sons have a special bond that I'm sure you might have noticed when you have dated guys!! I think also the problem with men being in mangement is that many women at some point in there life take time off to have a child. I am not saying it is wrong or right but I as female would not be impressed if I was a man and a female colleague was offered a position that i was after we had excatly the same skill set but she had just had 9 months off. although it is unfair it think that these things need to be thought about!!
